Temporary Weight Restrictions

Pursuant to Section 349.16 Wisconsin State Statues, the Town of Lake will be imposing temporary weight restrictions on various town roads effective Monday, March 10, 2025.  Restrictions will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Signs will be placed at various intersections advising the public that weight restrictions are in effect on that specific road.

If melting snow or rain causes thawing at an unexpected rate the restrictions may be imposed earlier, please watch for the signs.

These weight restrictions are for the Town of Lake roads only.  Any weight restrictions on State, County, City, Village, or other Town roads are managed by each individual municipality. Special concessions may be made on a case-by-case basis through the issuance of a single or multiple trip permit. The temporary weight restrictions for the Town of Lake are as follows:       6 tons gross

For permit information, you can email the Town of Lake office at clerktownoflake@gmail.com or call (715) 762-2151. Leave a message if necessary.  These restrictions will remain in place until the roads have regained their strength and the frost has dissipated.  Notices will be posted when the seasonal weight restrictions have been removed.

Thank you,
Angela J. Sales,
Town Clerk
