Property Tax Payment Information
Tax bills are mailed out in mid-December. Town of Lake has the option of 3 installments and all are payable to the Town of Lake Treasurer.
»» 1st installment is due on or before January 31
»» 2nd installment is due on or before April 30
»» 3rd installment is due on or before July 31
Taxes may be paid -
In Person at the Town of Lake Hall during posted times on the tax insert and on the website.
In Person during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on January 27, April 27 and July 20 in 2024
By Mail to Town of Lake, P.O. Box 464, Park Falls, WI 54552. Please include your payment stub from your tax bill along with your check or money order. NO CASH please.
Online - Pay online with credit card or E-check
Point n Pay charges & retains a convenience fee of $1.50 for E-Check - $3.95 for Visa Debit and 2.39% for MC Debit and all credit card payments.
Payment is considered timely when mailed in a properly addressed envelope, postmarked before the due date, postage prepaid and is received by correct treasurer (in treasurer's hands) within 5 days after the date due. Online, the date payment is made is the same as the "postmark" date.
To obtain a receipt, please include a business-size self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment and a receipt will be returned to you. You can also use the county's website at http://www.co.price.wi.us to print out a receipt.
Please Note:
Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the obligation to pay real estate taxes.
If any single installment is not paid timely, the entire unpaid balance is delinquent and subject to interest and penalty charges of 1.5% per month from February 1 per WI Stat 74.11(8). (Example - August interest/penalty is 10.5%)
