Remember that Memorial Day honors all service members and veterans who died
while serving in the United States during war and peace. Please take a moment
to reflect on this, to remember them, and to thank them for our freedom!

Help Spread The Word - Boat Safety This Memorial Day Weekend
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has this important safety reminder that
life jackets save lives and it's essential to operate watercraft sober. So far in 2024 there has been
one boating fatality in the state. In 2023, there were 28 boating fatalities, 27 of which involved a
victim not wearing a life jacket. Operator inexperience, inattention, recklessness and speeding are
the four leading causes of tragic watercraft crashes, and the leading cause of death is drowning.
